Modes of Learning

“Children learn in different ways — my job is to give them different doors into the same room.”- Nadia Almannani

In Person Lessons

In-person tuition provides a warm, engaging learning experience where I can tailor every lesson to your child’s individual needs, interests and learning style. Lessons are carefully planned to build confidence, develop strong academic foundations and inspire a genuine love of learning.

I offer in-person sessions within approximately 10 miles of Chelsea, London (SW3). If you are based further away, please don’t hesitate to get in touch—we may still be able to arrange a suitable solution.

Benefits

  • Personal, engaging one-to-one support.

  • Hands-on learning with practical resources and games.

  • Easier to maintain focus and adapt teaching instantly.

  • Ideal for younger learners and children who benefit from a structured environment.

Things to Consider

  • A quiet, comfortable learning space helps children stay focused.

  • Travel time is factored into availability, so booking early helps secure preferred lesson slots.

  • A suitable table and good lighting make hands‑on activities and written tasks more effective.

  • An adult must be present in the home for the full duration of each lesson.

Online tutoring offers flexibility without compromising on quality. Using interactive resources, digital whiteboards, games, and carefully planned activities, children can learn from the comfort of home while receiving the same personalised support and encouragement.

For children under five, I recommend 30‑minute online sessions. Young children naturally have shorter attention spans, and research shows that shorter, more frequent lessons are often more effective than a single longer session. For many families, two 30‑minute sessions each week provide greater consistency and stronger learning outcomes than one hour‑long lesson.

  • Interactive digital resources and engaging activities

Things to Consider

  • Requires a reliable internet connection and suitable device

  • Younger children may need brief support from a parent or carer at the start

  • Some hands‑on activities are naturally easier during face‑to‑face sessions

  • A quiet, comfortable learning space helps children stay focused.

  • Younger children may benefit from a parent nearby to help with technical support and settling in.

  • Online lessons work best when children have regular sessions to build routine and confidence.
